Microsoft Office 95 Year 2000 Update


                           The Microsoft Office 95 Year 2000 update makes changes to Office 95 in preparation for the changeover to the year 2000 (Y2K).

                           This update also includes the Microsoft Excel 95 Programmability Text Export Update. For more information on this update, see

                           Before You Install the Microsoft Office 95 Year 2000 Update 

                           Before you install this update, you should make sure that the versions of the applications listed above are installed on your computer
                           and not newer versions. If you are not sure, run the application (Word 95, for example), and then point to the Help menu and click
                           About Microsoft <application name>. 

                           Also, you must shut down all running programs, including Microsoft Office 95, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar,
                           before you begin the installation. 

                           Admin Installations 

                           Please review the Microsoft Knowledge Base article Q217027 - OFF95: How to Download and Install the Year 2000 Update for
                           more information about using the update with admin installations. 

                           Note  If you downloaded this package before December 30, 1999, we recommend that you download and apply this patch again.
                           This patch is updated to include two additional Microsoft Schedule Plus 7.0 files, mstre32.dll and mstrs32.dll, that address an issue
                           when synchronizing calendars.


                           To install this download:

                            1.You may want to print this page to use as a reference when you are offline.
                            2.Download the file from Office Update by clicking on the Download Now! at the top left of this page and following the instructions
                               in the dialog boxes.
                            3.Double-click the O95y2k.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
                            4.Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

                           Instructions for use:

                           Once you have installed the update, you can use Office 95 just as you have used it in the past. You do not need to restart your
                           computer.

                           To remove this download:

                           This update cannot be uninstalled. If you want to use Office 95 without the update, you must remove Office 95 and then reinstall it from
                           your original Office 95 Setup disks.
